Monarch butterflies take flight at Coors Field

Monarch Casino Resort Spa and the Butterfly Pavilion are hosting butterfly pop-ups this weekend.

Friday, September 13, 2019 — Have you ever seen a Monarch butterfly in the wild? Their big, orange and black wings are unmistakable and breathtaking. You may miss them as they migrate through Colorado back to Mexico this fall, but not this weekend! Monarch Casino Resort Spa has partnered with the Butterfly Pavilion to give people a chance to interact with Monarch butterflies as they head into the baseball game.

Today through Sunday, Monarch Casino Resort Spa and the Butterfly Pavilion are hosting a butterfly pop-up at the Colorado Rockies games. There will be a tent with 200 Monarch butterflies where you can see them up close and learn all about them from a butterfly expert.

 

What: Interactive Butterfly pop-ups

When: Friday at 4:40 p.m., Saturday at 4:10 p.m., and Sunday at 11:10 a.m.

Where: Parking Lot A at Coors Field

 

The tent will be in parking lot A and will open two hours prior to the games starting on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and closes as the game starts. It is free to the public.

On Sunday, you will also be able to meet and take photos with Metamorphosis, Monarch Casino Resort Spa's newest team member who is wearing a beatuifully intricate and theatrical Monarch butterfly costume, who can share the excitement of all that is happening there.
